Can you hear the lock trying to open? If you can, it may be stuck against the internal latch. Make sure the opening handle is fully in the closed position. Smack it closed with your hand a few times to break things loose, hit the door a few times, too, then try again.
If it still doesn’t open, or you can’t hear it trying to open, you probably need a locksmith. The people who sold you the safe can recommend one in your area.
