Wall Safes Video with Dye the Safe Guy
www.safeandvaultstore.com Hi, Dye the Safe Guy here today to talk about wall safes. First we are going to talk about the types of locks and then we are going to talk about the different types of wall safes that are available on the market today. Wall safes come in two different types. Usually a burgar safe like this wall safe here which is steel only. Typically 316" metal in the door and fits in between 16" studs and will go about 6" or 7" deep on a 2 x 6 wall. Then there is a burglar fire wall safe that gives you an added one hour fire protection. The burglar fire wall safes require that you have at least 15" or 16" depth behind the wall. Otherwise they wont work. And you also have to support it from the back with 2 x 6s or 2 x 8s to make sure that the added weight thats sticking out behind the wall is supported. Most wall safes come with two types of locks. Either a dial combination lock that has a factory preset combination. Or, a digital lock as you see here that you can set your own combination on. Another unique quality of the First Alert and Mesa Safe wall safes is they are adjustable so you can actually telescope the back of safe up to 7 12" deep if you have a 2" x 6" wall that will allow you an extra 1 12" behind the safe thereby giving you more room inside the safe. A very unique feature of the Mesa and First Alert wall safes. We recommend that you have a professional contractor, general contractor install the wall safe between the studs in your home <b>...<b>
Top 7 Advantages of Wall Safes

There are many different types of safes available on the market today. Some examples are floor safes, gun safes, wall safes, deposit safes and fire safes. They all their advantages and are designed for specific purposes. Today lets take a look at wall safes and their top 7 advantages over other types of safes.
- Easy to conceal. Unlike large floor safes that scream, "I am here" and "Guess what is hidden inside?" a wall safe can be hidden behind numerous items. Things such as a picture, mirror, bookshelf, or small decoy type safes that mask as a wall outlet.
- Security. Being hidden, a wall safe has an obvious security advantage over other safes - people don't know where it is without spending time looking for it. The safes are also bolted to the wall, so it cannot easily be removed without accessing the bolts, and the bolts are hard to get at because the external flange gets in the way. Often, thief's like to be able to grab the safe and go, that way they can take their time opening the vault. But with wall safes this is very difficult, they must take the time to open on the premise, and a lot of time is something most thieves just don't have.
- Easy to Install. Though it may seem a bit intimidating, and obviously is easier to install when a house is being built, installing wall safes into an existing home is simple. Most are designed to fit between two wall studs, and come with a template. Just mark the wall according to the template, cut and install. Because of the external flange that rests on the outside of the wall, no finishing work is needed.
- Space saving. Lets face it, though manufactures try to make large floor safes more attractive, it is a large steel box that takes up a lot of space. Being able to hide a safe in the wall saves a lot of space.
- Easy to access. No bending over to open the combination, you can install the safe at any level that suits you best. Having a safe at eye level is simply easier to use.
- Hidden from children. A safe is a curiosity item for children. They wonder what is inside, they like to mess with the lock and play with the combination, and perhaps even talk with friends about the safe and what they have seen in it. Having a hidden safe removes a lot of these problems.
- Easy to deliver without the whole neighborhood knowing. If you get a large floor safe, it usually comes delivered in a special freight trucks with multiple delivery men. People in the neighborhood notice. If you are concerned about discretion, then wall safes are a great option, and not just because they can be hidden behind a picture. Because wall safes often weight less than 100 pounds, they are usually delivered by UPS, so no one knows what you are receiving.

Wall Safes Hidden Protection for Your Valuables

Whether you own a business or are a homeowner, protecting your valuables is essential. Some items are so precious that they simply cannot be left unprotected. Other items, such as extra cash, should be locked away to ensure their safety. Important documents, bonds, life insurance policies and other items should likewise be protected. Wall safes provide you with an excellent way to do just that. What do wall safes offer you? What types of safes exist and how do you mount them within your walls?
Wall safes have long been one of the best ways to ensure the safety and security of your items. You will find several types of wall safes – recessed safes, flush safes and several others. The beauty of wall safes is that they can easily be hidden behind a picture or a bookshelf, providing an additional layer of protection for your valuables.
Determining the exact model of wall safe that you need will, of course, hinge on several factors. The number of items that you need to store, the strength and construction of your walls and other factors will play a determining role in your final choice. In addition, you will need to determine what type of security technology you want. The most common type of lock for wall safes is a dial combination lock. However, you will find digital combination locks, digital keypad locks, master key overrides and even fingerprint locks for your protection.
Prior to purchasing any wall safes, you must determine where you will install the safe and how the safe will be anchored in place. Most safes come with an anchoring/mounting kit, but you will need to ensure that the safe will fit between your wall studs. Most homes have 16-inch o/c wall studs, so your safe should fit within those confines. However, if you are currently constructing a new home or remodeling your current home, you can easily install a wall safe and build the wall to suit the particular installation.
Wall safes are a tremendous option for your protection and can be easily hidden from prying eyes. Most models are burglar resistant even if they are found, ensuring that your valuables remain safely locked away. With the wide range of technology available, anyone can have the quality safe that they need for the utmost in protection and durability to withstand a lifetime of use.

Amsec Wall Safe
Sometimes keeping your valuables safe is such an important matter that you need to spend a bit of time and money on it. In such a situation, the wall safe is an ideal item as you can install one and then easily cover it up simply by hanging a painting over it (a bit of a Hollywood cliché, but it works!) or just moving another item in front of it. This allows you the peace of mind to know that your valuables are tucked away somewhere that may not even be seen by burglars, in a safe for which they will need to guess the combination.
Amsec have for some time been the holders of an enviable reputation for providing security solutions which fit exactly to their customers’ needs. Their range of wall safes are perfect for the customer who needs something that will be easy to install, hard to get into without the combination, and inconspicuous. Even if the thieves get around the issue of guessing the combination by instead sliding the safe out of the wall, they will be completely unable to drill into the safe from the outside due to the construction of its exterior.

It is a genuinely good idea to invest in a wall safe if you have valuables of a sentimental or commercial nature, as the number of opportunistic thefts that happen when an item is left out in the open is quite incredible. Why wait until after you have been burgled to put things right?
